| This was my first Gallery in Minneapolis, from 1982-1985, located at 308 Washington Avenue North, in the old warehouse district. These are photographs from Nuts on Bolts,a 15 artist fiber show, all members of Surface Design Minnesota, which took place in 1983. Nuts on Bolts featured "yardage, before the finished piece." SACK'S Gallery exhibited many artists from the Twin Cities, mixing "fine art" and "fine craft". Many of the working fiber artists and U of M design department graduates found this a welcoming exhibition space. The entire history of my gallery exhibitions, with written and photographic documentation, is in the permanent collection of the Minnesota Historical Society. |
