Transforming Space – Transforming Fiber
brings together a group of nationally and internationally recognized artists
working in a diversity of materials, to create space, light, movement, volume,
rhythm, transparency, intimacy, simplicity, and surprise.
These works reflect their individual explorations, thoughts and intentions.
This exhibition, at the Las Cruces Museum of Art, invites the visitor to
experience the installations within the space from various perspectives.
We are all influenced by the spaces we live in, the spaces we visit,
and the personal stories created within these spaces.
"I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with this group of artists and the museum
to curate this special exhibition, bringing together my long time interest in
how fiber architecturally transforms "space" in our lives."
